Sketchy couple




Hello  ART BUDDIES

    WE had  a great time sketching  Monday.

       ALSO   our group has been invited to  sketch at this gathering of local  folk.  

      As you can see from this link there are lots of cool activities planned with a potluck finish up.

       Also  Ricky  Alexander will be doing  caricatures.

We are happy to announce the event schedule for this Sunday's Skills Share and Local Foods Potluck! 

See details below and if any last minute teachers want to join the skill share, just let us know. This is a community event. Everyone is welcome and there is no cost. We'll open up the homestead to the community at 1:00 pm with farm tours at 1:30pm and again at 6:30 pm!

The following demonstrations & workshops will be ongoing all afternoon:

Keeping backyard chickens, 2:00 - 2:30 pm - Donald Eslick of Farm to Front Porch

Traditional wood bowl carving, 2:30 pm talk & ongoing demo - David Caldwell of Caldwell Carvings

Medicinal tea making, 3:00 - 3:45 pm - Stacey Costner of Wild Dahlia Homestead

Soap making, 4:00 - 4:45 pm - Lauren Mooney of Nature's Barn 

Edible & medicinal plant walk, 5:00 - 5:45 pm - Alexander Meander of Wild Dahlia Homestead

Yoga for beginners, 6:00 - 6:30 pm - Christie Martin of Shelby Yoga Center

Flint knapping, ongoing all afternoon - with Jeremy Parker

Sketching and caricatures, ongoing after 5:00 pm - with the “Sketchy bunch”

Kid's activities and play stations ongoing all afternoon!

Stick around for the Local Foods Potluck at 7:00pm followed by a bonfire. Please bring a dish using at least one local ingredient to share!
